On Saturday, a Palestinian man was injured after being attacked by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers who unleashed their dogs on him while he was plowing his land in the southern area of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern region.

Mader Geith stated that the colonizers assaulted his brother, Hotheifa, as he worked on the family’s land in the Wadi Al-A’war area, south of Hebron, and added that the colonizers also unleashed their dogs, causing injuries across Hotheifa’s body.

Gheith added that his injured brother was transported to a hospital for treatment; the colonizers also smashed the windows of Hotheifa’s vehicle.

Gheith noted that the colonizers had established a caravan on a mountain in the area about a month ago to create an illegal colonial outpost.

The site was subsequently connected to an electricity network following a visit by the far-right extremist Israeli Minister of “National Security,” Itamar Ben-Gvir.

He explained that the area, covering over eighty dunams, serves as a vital space for Hebron’s southern region.

It is cultivated with grapevines and other fruit-bearing trees and is strategically positioned, offering views of the towns of Yatta to the south, Bani Na’im to the east, and Hebron city.

Gheith urged relevant institutions, human rights organizations, and anti-colonization committees to intervene to save the area from colonial expansion and emphasized the critical need for legal support to prevent the seizure and illegal takeover of Palestinian lands.

Also Saturday, a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian farmers and cars near the al-Mughayyir village northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
