On Tuesday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers occupied twenty Palestinian residential sheds in the Al-Mo’arrajat area, northwest of Jericho, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
Hasan Mleihat, the supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for Defending Bedouin Rights, said in a statement that the colonizers came from several illegal outposts on Palestinian lands, northwest of Jericho.
Mleihat added that the colonizers occupied twenty Palestinian residential sheds, owned by Palestinians from the Arab Al-Ka’abna Bedouin community, displaced by Israel in November of 2023.
He added that the residential sheds housed families from Arab Al-Ka’abna who lived there since the 1970s, after being originally displaced in 1948.
Mleihat stated that the colonizers released their livestock to graze on the Palestinian lands and in the remaining barns.
The Palestinians in Al-Mo’arrajat are subject to seriously escalating violations by the soldiers and the paramilitary colonizers who are trying to build and expand their illegal outposts.
On Thursday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian cars in Wadi Al-Haseen, east of Hebron, while the occupation forces prevented a large number of citizens from reaching their homes.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
