Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers burned a Palestinian home in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank, early Tuesday morning, in a continuation of escalating attacks targeting isolated Palestinian communities.
Local resident Osama Makhamra said the fire erupted in the home of Bajes Rib’ey, in the Shu’ab at-Tiwana area, after a group of colonizers set the structure ablaze.
Makhamra confirmed that the family was not inside at the time, as they had spent the night at the home of Rib’ey’s brother in the village, preventing potential injuries.
Makhamra added that colonizers spray‑painted slogans on the exterior walls, describing the writings as a clear reflection of the hatred and unchecked violence driving these attacks.
He warned that colonizer assaults in Masafer Yatta have sharply intensified in recent weeks, placing residents under constant threat.
Masafer Yatta has long been a focal point of colonizer violence and Israeli military pressure, with Palestinian communities facing repeated invasions, home demolitions, and forced‑displacement attempts.
Residents say the growing frequency of arson attacks, property destruction, and intimidation is part of a broader effort to push Palestinian families out of the area.
Local activists urged families to remain vigilant, noting that colonizer groups have recently expanded their attacks to include agricultural lands, livestock, and homes in remote hamlets across the region.
In related news, Israeli colonizers attacked al‑Maleh School in the northern Jordan Valley of the occupied West Bank, late Monday night, causing extensive damage to the building and its facilities.
