On Tuesday, illegal paramilitary colonizers invaded Palestinian lands, uprooted and hundreds of olive and almond seedlings in the Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.
Ahmad Salah, a local nonviolent activist with the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, said the paramilitary colonizers uprooted 300 vine seedlings and 100 almond seedlings.
Salah added that the attack was carried out by a large group of paramilitary colonizers who also closed streets in nearby areas.
Al-Khader has been witnessing dangerously escalating Israeli attacks and violations by both the Israeli soldiers and the paramilitary colonizers.
On Monday, Illegal Israeli colonizers carried out several attacks against the Palestinian people and their property, in several regions of the occupied West Bank, causing injuries and damage to crops.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
