On Tuesday, Israeli soldiers abducted five Palestinian citizens from Hebron Governorate in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
Mohammad Awwad, a media activist in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, stated that a large number of Israeli military vehicles invaded the neighborhoods of Ath-Thaher and Shu’ab As-Seer in the town.
He added that the soldiers stormed and ransacked several homes before abducting Ibrahim Abdul-Hamid Ahmad Abu Mariya, Jihad Ali Sabarna, Awad Hassan Hussein Awad, and Eyad Kamel Mousa Bahar, all in their forties and fifties.
In addition, the soldiers invaded the town of Ethna, west of Hebron, fired sound bombs, and abducted Ibrahim An-Nattah.
They also stormed the home of former prisoner Khalil Al-Awawda in the town and confiscated his computer.
Additionally, the soldiers invaded the town of Bani Na’im to the east, searched the home of Issa Thaher Hmeidat, whose son, Mohannad, the army abducted a month earlier.
Early Tuesday dawn, a Palestinian was injured by Israeli military gunfire before the soldiers abducted him after they detained Palestinian medics trying to reach him; the soldiers also abducted another Palestinian, in Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
