Israeli occupation forces have sustained their aggression on the city of Tulkarem, located in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, and its refugee camps for the 64th consecutive day. This includes 51 days of intensified invasions and destruction targeting the Nur Shams refugee camp. The ongoing offensive has been marked by widespread abductions, assaults, massive destruction and the displacement of thousands of civilians.
Reports indicate that Israeli forces have deployed extensive military reinforcements, including armored vehicles and infantry units, to the city, its refugee camps, and surrounding areas. Temporary roadblocks have been erected, and campaigns of home invasions, large-scale destruction, and abductions targeting young Palestinians have escalated.
Early this morning, Israeli forces invaded the Ektaba suburb east of Tulkarem, abducting Abdullah Al-Ariya, a former detainee, and Mohammad Samih Abu Harb after storming their homes.
In the Thannaba suburb, also east of Tulkarem, Israeli forces abducted five young men late last night at a temporary roadblock near the Al-Attar area. The abductees were Aziz Al-Attar, Jawad Al-Attar, Mohammed Farajallah, and Muhannad Al-Halqoum. The latter two were released early this morning after being assaulted.
In the Nur Shams refugee camp, Israeli forces set fire to homes in the Al-Manshiyya area, with smoke columns visibly rising from the site.
The refugee camp remains under tight siege, with military bulldozers and armored vehicles deployed in various areas, particularly Al-Manshiyya and Al-Maslak. Residents have reported home demolitions, extensive infrastructure destruction, and forced expulsions, especially in the Al-Nasr and Al-Saleheen hills.
Meanwhile, the Tulkarem refugee camp remains under siege, with Israeli forces heavily deployed in its neighborhoods.
The refugee camp has been nearly emptied of its residents, who were forcibly displaced, leaving it devoid of life.
The destruction has extended to peripheral neighborhoods, including Al-Hadaida and Al-Rabay’a, where infrastructure has been destroyed, and homes and establishments have been demolished.
Israeli forces have also intensified restrictions on Palestinian movement, particularly during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, by setting up temporary roadblocks on main streets and in residential areas. Children playing in the streets have been chased, and their plastic toys confiscated.
Frequent military roadblocks have been established on Nablus Street, particularly near the Tulkarem refugee camp, obstructing vehicle movement. Sections of the street have been blocked with dirt mounds, and several homes have been seized and converted into military outposts, with armored vehicles stationed nearby.
Additionally, Israeli armored vehicles invaded the town of Kafr Al-Lubbad, east of Tulkarem, accompanied by infantry units deployed in the Al-Madwara neighborhood. Soldiers fired tear gas canisters extensively, stopped passing cars, and launched flares toward homes.
Israeli forces also invaded the village of Kafr Abboush, south of Tulkarem, patrolling its streets and neighborhoods without reports of abductions.
The ongoing aggression has resulted in the killing of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women—one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have been injured, and over 4,000 families have been forcibly displaced from the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, along with many dozens of families from the northern neighborhood of Tulkarem after their homes were seized and converted into military outposts.
The offensive has also caused widespread destruction to infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles, with 396 homes demolished and 2,573 partially destroyed in the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps. Entrances and alleys have been blocked with dirt mounds, further isolating the camps.
On Saturday evening, the General Authority of Civil Affairs informed the Palestinian Health Ministry that the young man, Ahmad Qasem Suleiman Bani Odeh, 22, succumbed to his wounds while in the custody of Israeli forces.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 113 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 18 children and 4 women.
Occupation forces have killed 49 Palestinians in Jenin, 20 in Tubas, 14 in Tulkarem, 14 in Nablus, 5 in Hebron, 3 in Qalqilia, 3 in Bethlehem, 3 in Jerusalem, 1 in Ramallah, and 1 in Salfit.
