Israeli forces carried out new violations of the ceasefire across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, destroying residential buildings and striking multiple areas in the north, center, and south of the besieged and devastated coastal enclave.
Update: A medical source at the Al-Aqsa Hospital stated that three Palestinians, including one child, were killed and others injured in an Israeli shelling of an area east of Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza.
Update: A Palestinian child and a woman were killed by Israeli army fire in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.
The renewed attacks come despite what is nominally a ceasefire framework, with local and international media documenting ongoing shelling, naval fire, and drone strikes that have continued to inflict casualties and damage across the enclave as the Israeli genocide in Gaza enters its third year.
Witnesses in the northern Gaza Strip reported that Israeli forces demolished several residential buildings east of Beit Lahia, using explosives to level structures in an area previously designated as a “no‑go zone.”

At the same time, artillery units positioned along the perimeter fence shelled eastern Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip and areas near the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Residents described the bombardment as “continuous and unprovoked,” noting that no evacuation warnings were issued before the strikes.
In southern Gaza, two Palestinians were wounded at dawn when Israeli naval vessels opened fire on the shoreline of Rafah. Medical staff confirmed that the injured were transferred to the Red Cross field hospital for treatment.

The shelling targeted fishermen and civilians near the coast, forcing dozens to flee the area, local and media sources said.
Independent reporting from Al‑Jazeera Arabic and English also confirmed additional violations throughout the day, including drone fire that injured civilians in the Zeitoun neighborhood of southern Gaza City, gunfire that wounded two Palestinians in the al‑Mawasi coastal zone west of Khan Younis, and artillery strikes east of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.
Al‑Jazeera noted that Israeli forces “continue to fire on areas where troops were expected to withdraw under the ceasefire terms,” underscoring the fragility of the current arrangement.
Israeli forces have committed roughly 1,300 ceasefire violations since the agreement took effect in October 2025, resulting in the killing or injury of approximately 1,820 Palestinians.

These figures reflect a pattern of continued military activity despite international calls for de‑escalation and humanitarian access.
The cumulative toll of the Israeli genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has now risen to 71,551 Palestinians killed and 171,372 injured, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
These numbers, also confirmed by regional and international human rights groups, and media agencies, illustrate the scale of destruction and loss endured by the population over more than two years of systematic attacks.
