Israeli forces carried out several demolition operations, on Thursday, in the central West Bank governorate of Salfit and the southern West Bank governorates of Bethlehem and Hebron.

On Thursday morning, Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian-owned house in the town of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit in the central part of the occupied West Bank.


Samir Nimr, the mayor of Deir Ballut, told WAFA News Agency that occupation forces accompanied by excavators that proceeded to demolish the under-construction home owned by the citizen, Mohammad Hael.

Meanwhile, in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces, accompanied by heavy machinery, demolished two floors of a home and a residential tent, in the village of Al-Walaja, northwest of Bethlehem.

Khader Al-Araj, the head of Al-Walaja village council, told WAFA that the army invaded the village accompanied by heavy machinery, and demolished the top two floors of a three-storey home of the citizen, Bassem Abd Rabbo, under the pretext of building without a license.

Al-Araj added that Israeli soldiers assaulted the home-owners and prohibited them from reaching their own home.

He also said that occupation forces dismantled a residential tent belonging to the citizen, Ahmad Nasr Abu Al-Teen, in addition to razing land and uprooting trees.

Furthermore, Israeli forces demolished the home of the citizen, Anis al-Natsheh, after storming the “Farsh al-Hawa” area, west of Hebron city in the southern West Bank.

Media sources added that in the town of Tarqumiya, northwest of the city, occupation soldiers demolished an 800 square meter warehouse belonging to the citizen, Shawqi al-Shamali.


According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, in August of 2024, Israeli authorities demolished 36 inhabited homes, 8 uninhabited homes, and 13 agricultural structures; authorities also handed out 74 demolition orders targeting citizens’ homes and other structures.
