For 62 consecutive days, Israeli forces have intensified their offensive in Tulkarem city and Tulkarem refugee camp, extending their campaign to the Nur Shams refugee camp for the past 49 days. This escalation has involved deploying heavy military reinforcements, including machinery and bulldozers, while enforcing a suffocating siege.
Media reports indicate that the Nur Shams refugee camp has seen the arrival of additional soldiers and military equipment, including large bulldozers, as the siege, invasions, and destruction of homes persist.
Soldiers fired flares near the al-Mahjar neighborhood and established positions around Jabal al-Saleheen, where they assaulted and searched numerous Palestinians and their properties.
Simultaneously, military activity surged in the Tulkarem refugee camp, with troops occupying its narrow alleys and neighborhoods.
Soldiers invaded dozens of homes, breaking doors and vandalizing property. Residents of the al-Hadaida and al-Raba’iya neighborhoods were forcibly displaced as Israeli forces seized dozens of homes and converted them into military outposts.
Elsewhere in Tulkarem city, Israeli forces expanded their presence by setting up temporary roadblocks at key access points, including Far’un Roundabout in the south, Salam Roundabout in the east, and Nablus Street opposite the refugee camp.
Eyewitnesses reported soldiers stopping vehicles, inspecting identification cards, subjecting individuals to field interrogations, and causing significant disruptions to daily life.
Additionally, soldiers abducted two young men, Maisara Majali and Osayd Abu Mahrouq, from the Thannaba suburb, though they were later released.
Meanwhile, the family of Anas Ayman Turabi, a young man from Tulkarem’s southern neighborhood, was informed that their son, who had been missing for two days, was in Israeli custody. No further details were provided regarding his condition or whereabouts.
The ongoing Israeli military aggression has had devastating consequences, claiming the lives of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women—one of whom was pregnant.
Dozens of Palestinians have been injured or abducted, and more than 4,000 families have been forcibly displaced from the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, along with additional families from the city’s northern neighborhood following home seizures.
The aftermath has left widespread destruction in its wake, with infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles severely damaged. Nearly 396 homes have been demolished, and 2,573 partially damaged across both refugee camps. Access points and alleys have been blocked with dirt mounds, further isolating the affected communities.
In related news, the soldiers invaded Tammun town, southeast of Tubas of the northeastern West bank, and surrounded a home, before more armored vehicles, including a bulldozer invaded the town.
The number of slain Palestinians in the West Bank since the beginning of this year is now 112; 49 in Jenin, 19 in Tubas, 14 in Tulkarem, 14 in Nablus, 5 in Hebron, 3 in Bethlehem, 3 in Qalqilia, 1 in Salfit, 1 in Ramallah, and 3 in Jerusalem.
