The Ministry of Health reported that its medical teams dealt today, Friday, with 36 injuries, following the attack by the Israeli occupation army and colonists on citizens in the towns of: Beita, Huwarra, and Deir Sharaf in Nablus Governorate.
The ministry said in a brief statement that among the injuries were two from bullets, and the other from assault, and all of the injuries were described as minor to moderate. They were transferred to Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus, and the emergency center in the town of Beita in the south.
Earlier today, Palestinian journalist and AFP photographer Jaafar Ishtayeh was injured after being brutally attacked by Israeli settlers in the town of Beita, occupied West Bank.
The settlers then set his car ablaze during their raid in the area.
The Red Crescent Society reported that it had dealt with 7 injuries, including journalists Jaafar Ishtayyeh and Wahaj Bani Mufleh, as a result of the Israeli paramilitary colonizers’ attack on olive pickers in the town of Beita, while a Wafa news correspondent confirmed that the journalists Yazan Hamayel and Saja Al-Alami suffered from tear gas inhalation.
A number of colonists attacked citizens while they were picking olives in the Jabal Qamas area of the town, beat them, and set fire to four citizens’ vehicles that were in the place, which led to their burning, including a vehicle belonging to Agence France-Presse photographer Jaafar Shtayyeh.
Israeli occupation soldiers also stormed the area and fired sound bombs and tear gas at citizens, causing a number of them to suffer from tear gas inhalation.
