Israeli occupation forces invaded the city of Nablus in the northern part of the occupied West Bank on Wednesday evening, injuring eight Palestinians—four of them children—and abducting a young man after surrounding a residential building. Troops also ransacked the local fire station during the operation.

Medical sources confirmed that seven individuals, including three children, were wounded by live ammunition.

Five sustained gunshot injuries to their lower limbs, while one was shot in the shoulder and another in the waist, and a child was injured by bullet shrapnel. All were transferred to hospitals in Nablus for treatment.

Local sources reported that Israeli undercover soldiers infiltrated the area of Rahibat Street and surrounded a home, followed by the arrival of a large convoy of military vehicles. Troops opened fire and launched stun grenades and toxic tear gas toward civilians in surrounding streets, including the central Martyrs’ Roundabout.

Witnesses said Israeli forces also stormed the Nablus municipal fire station, violently searched the premises, and forcibly removed Palestinians from inside before abducting Sultan al-Ashqar.

Troops later invaded the headquarters of the Palestinian Workers’ Union, where they detained those present, subjected them to abuse and field interrogations.

Before withdrawing from the city, Israeli forces seized al-Ashqar’s vehicle and left behind a trail of destruction.

Residents say such invasions have become routine, with Israeli troops repeatedly targeting civilian infrastructure and neighborhoods, escalating fear and instability across Nablus.
