On Thursday, the Israeli military injured a number of Palestinian citizens in separate incidents in the southern Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire agreement which came into effect on January 19, 2025.
WAFA correspondent reported that a Palestinian child was seriously wounded on Thursday morning, when an Israeli drone bombed a gathering of citizens in the center of Rafah city, while soldiers shot a female citizen with live rounds in the vicinity of the Rafah crossing.
Quds News Network reported that occupation tanks fired artillery shells into Palestinian territories, east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday evening.
QNN added that Israeli drones dropped grenades on Palestinian citizens while they were present near the town of Abasan Al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis on Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Palestine TV reported that an unspecified number of Palestinian citizens were wounded as a result of an “explosive object” in the Al-Janina neighborhood of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Ma’an News Agency reported that a child was shot by occupation forces in the city of Rafah, while soldiers opened fire along the southern border with Egypt, and at the eastern border of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced on Thursday that the bodies of 17 slain citizens were recovered from under the rubble of bombed homes and transported to Gaza hospital over the past 48 hours.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that 48,365 citizens have been killed, including women and children, while 111,780 others have been wounded as a result of Israel’s brutal military onslaught against the besieged Gaza Strip beginning on October 7, 2023.
