Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child on Monday, after shooting and abducting him in the town of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

The Municipality of Sinjil announced that the child, Youssef Fuad Abdul-Karim Fuqaha, 14, was killed by occupation forces, adding that the army continues to withhold the body.

Media sources said that Israeli forces invaded Sinjil town and opened fire at citizens, shooting the child before abducting him and denying him medical treatment; the child succumbed to his wounds in the custody of the occupation army.

Sources added that occupation forces then stormed the home of the citizen, Ayed Ghafri, near the site of the shooting, and confiscated surveillance camera recordings.

The Arab 48 News website quoted the Israeli Army Radio which reported that Israeli forces killed a Palestinian who “attempted to throw stones at cars and threw two bottles containing a dangerous substance,” in an attempt to justify the shooting.

Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces have killed 150 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 27 children and 5 women.

Occupation forces have killed 57 Palestinians in Jenin, 26 in Nablus, 25 in Tubas, 14 in Tulkarem, 6 in Hebron, 5 in Bethlehem, 5 in Ramallah, 4 in Jerusalem, 4 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.

In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 54,470, including women and children, while at least 124,693 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.
