On Monday, Day 77 since the resumption of the genocide in Gaza, Israeli missiles and shells kills and injured many Palestinians, including children, across the devastated, starved and besieged Gaza Strip.

Palestinian medical sources have confirmed that a child was killed by live rounds fired from an Israeli military drone in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.

Injuries were also reported after the Israeli army fired artillery shells at the Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Additionally, two fishermen were wounded by Israeli army fire near Gaza’s shore as they attempted to fish to provide for their families amid the destruction, siege, and famine affecting the coastal enclave.

Several Palestinians were injured when an Israeli shell struck a home in the southern part of Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza.

Furthermore, in Deir Al-Balah, the Israeli army fired three missiles at the Al-Ansar Mosque, destroying the religious site.

Medical sources have confirmed that Palestinian child Mohammad Hussein Oqeilan has succumbed to serious wounds he sustained two days earlier when the Israeli army bombarded his family’s home, instantly killing his entire family.

In addition, at least several Palestinians were killed and many injured when the Israeli army fired shells at the Al-Falluja area in the Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza.

In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, five Palestinians were killed and many injured by Israeli missiles and shells. The Israeli army also wired and detonated numerous homes and residential buildings in Al-Qarara town, northeast of Khan Younis.

In related news, medical sources said that Palestinian Husam Bassam Wafi, 36, succumbed to serious wounds he suffered a day earlier in an Israeli bombing on Salahuddin Street, east of Khan Younis.

Furthermore, the Israeli army destroyed the wall around the Gaza European Hospital, in the eastern part of Khan Younis, and bulldozed the area around the medical facility.

In Rafah, in Gaza’s southernmost region, the Israeli army killed three Palestinians and injured 35 near the American-run aid distribution center in the western part of the city.

The director of ambulance services in northern Gaza reported that 35 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire near aid distribution centers within the past 24 hours. He stated that Israeli forces continue to block ambulance crews from reaching some of the wounded, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

Aid centers, supposedly meant to provide relief, have now become death traps for the people of Gaza, he added. He also warned that Israel’s systematic targeting of Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure has led to its collapse, with approximately 80% of the ambulance system in the region destroyed.

Additionally, the director of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society in Gaza stated that Israeli forces deliberately target civilian gatherings, particularly around aid distribution centers.

According to the director, Israeli troops aim directly at civilians’ heads and chests, causing fatal injuries. He further stated that Israel’s actions reflect an effort to silence global outcry, rather than facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid.

He also accused Israeli forces of intentionally assembling civilians near aid centers to carry out killings, worsening the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

The Director of Field Hospitals at the Ministry of Health in Gaza has warned that most hospitals in the region will soon cease operations due to fuel shortages.

In a statement to Al-Jazeera, he stated that medical staff are unable to secure even a single piece of bread for patients or doctors, highlighting the deepening humanitarian crisis.

He also urgently called on the international community to protect Gaza’s hospitals, emphasizing the need for immediate intervention.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza reported that 41% of kidney patients have died due to the ongoing siege and destruction, which has prevented them from receiving essential medical treatment.

In related news, the director of Shifa Medical Center in Gaza City stated that an average of five cancer patients die daily in their homes due to the lack of medical treatment, ongoing bombings, and the blockade.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that 50,000 children have been killed or injured in the Gaza Strip in just 20 months.

UNRWA added that civilians, including children, humanitarian workers, medical personnel, and journalists, continue to be killed and injured in Gaza.

On its part, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has reported that as Israeli military operations expand in Gaza, less than 18% of the territory remains accessible for civilians. The rest of the area is either under direct Israeli control or designated as evacuation zones, subject to continuous bombardment.

According to the United Nations Information Center, displacement continues across Gaza, with approximately 200,000 people forced to flee in the past two weeks alone.

The United Nations has described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as the worst since the war began, with relentless airstrikes affecting all parts of the enclave. In northern Gaza, the last partially functioning hospital was forced to evacuate, further worsening the crisis.

OCHA has emphasized that humanitarian operations in Gaza face unprecedented obstacles, making it one of the most challenging humanitarian responses in modern history. Since March, Israeli authorities have severely restricted humanitarian aid and commercial supplies, allowing only a fraction of the necessary provisions to enter Gaza in the past two weeks.

Despite these limited deliveries, the UN and its partners have been unable to distribute most of the aid due to Israeli-imposed restrictions and security risks. Additionally, desperate civilians have looted a significant portion of the incoming supplies, often in a bid to feed their families amid the ongoing crisis.

Israel has now killed at least 54,418 Palestinians, including more than 16,507 children, 9,803 women, 4,035 elders, and 249 journalists, in addition to wounding more than 124,190 Palestinians, while thousands remain buried under the rubble across the devastated coastal enclave.
