On Wednesday, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian young man in the northern West Bank city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp, during its ongoing military incursion.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the young man, Firas Bassam Alaqma “Turkman”, 35, succumbed to critical gunshot wounds, late Wednesday night.
According to eyewitness accounts, an Israeli sharpshooter shot the young man, Alaqma, while he was in front of his house in the Al-Hadaf neighborhood in the city of Jenin.
WAFA correspondent said that Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance crews performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and transported the critically injured man to the Ibn Sina Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, adding that he was a first lieutenant in the Palestinian Security Forces.
During the ongoing military attack against the Palestinian people in the city of Jenin, occupation forces killed six young men in the Jenin governorate in the last 24 hours.
Since before dawn on Wednesday, occupation forces have been invading the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, and pushing more military reinforcements, including bulldozers, from the northern entrance.
Media sources said that Israeli bulldozers continue to raze roads and infrastructure while besieging hospitals and obstructing the work of ambulance crews.
According to the Shireen Observatory, Israeli forces have now killed 664 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including 152 children, since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip.
In theĀ Gaza Strip, the Israeli military has killed 40,534 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and injured 93,778 since the beginning of its military onslaught on October 7, 2023, while thousands remain under the rubble.
