Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian man, on Tuesday morning, after storming the Old City of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank, just hours after killing another young man in the Balata refugee camp, east of the city.

The General Authority for Civil Affairs notified the Palestinian Health Ministry of the death of the young man, Abdul Hakim Mamoun Abdul Hamid Shaheen, 33, after soldiers shot him with live ammunition, adding that the army confiscated his body.

According to Ahmad Jibril, the Director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Ambulance and Emergency services, said that the young man sustained a very serious live gunshot wound.

Jibril added that the army denied the young man medical treatment by obstructing the ambulance crews from reaching him, before soldiers abducted him, leading to his death.

Additionally he stated that Israeli soldiers impeded the work of paramedics, detaining an ambulance and its crew while they tried to provide first aid to the critically injured man.

Media sources said that occupation forces invaded, at dawn Tuesday, the Old City of Nablus, stormed several neighborhoods, while the sounds of gunfire and explosions could be heard, resulting in the critical injury of the slain, Shaheen.

Sources added that occupation forces stormed and ransacked many citizens’ homes in the city, and abducted at least one unidentified citizen.

Israeli forces stormed the Rafidia and Al-Makhfiyya neighborhoods in addition to invading the Al-Ein refugee camp west of the city, and abducting the young man, Ramadan Shaheen, after breaking into and searching his home.

Earlier Tuesday, occupation forces shot and killed the young man, Diaa Hani Abdul Rahman Duweikat, 25, and injured eleven others, including six paramedics in the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that Duweikat died as a result of critical injuries he sustained after Israeli forces shot him in the abdomen and thigh with live ammunition.

The PRCS reported that soldiers deliberately targeted ambulance crews in the camp with live rounds, shooting six of their paramedics, despite prior coordination through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

It is important to mention that hundreds of Palestinian students were detained in their schools for many hours by the occupation forces, before parents were able to extract them.

Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 721 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 160 children, and injured 5,700.

The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 196 in Jenin, 152 in Tulkarem, 75 in Nablus, 72 in Hebron, 59 in Ramallah, 57 in Tubas, 45 in Jerusalem, 29 in Qalqilia, 19 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 41,638 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 96,460 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remained buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
