Israeli forces shot and killed, on Tuesday, a Palestinian man accused of carrying out a shooting operation near the Gush Etzion Junction, southwest of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.
Media sources said that on Tuesday afternoon, a Palestinian man allegedly shot two Israeli soldiers between the illegal “Migdal Oz” colony and the Gush Etzion Junction, established on Palestinian lands southwest of Bethlehem.
It was added that the alleged shooter opened fire at the soldiers, injuring two of them, one seriously, before they shot him and left him bleeding on the ground.
The army confiscated the body of the slain man, identified as Ziad Farhan Diab Hamran, 31, a resident of Al-Hashimiya village, west of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
According to the Times of Israel, the two injured soldiers were members of the Shin Bet, Israel’s security agency, otherwise known as “Shabak”.
Israeli forces and colonizers have killed 437 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip, on October 7, 2023.
Also on Tuesday, an illegal Israeli colonizer killed a Palestinian man while he was in front of his home in Aqraba town, southeast of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
