Israeli forces shot and assaulted a Palestinian young man after invading the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday.

Media sources said that occupation forces opened fire at an unidentified young man at the entrance to the Qalandia refugee camp, shooting him in the leg with live ammunition.

Quds Press reported that Israeli soldiers denied the wounded young man medical treatment by obstructing ambulance crews from approaching him to provide first aid.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem (Silwanic) reported that the soldiers kicked the young man in the head and chest, and beat him with their rifle butts, leaving him lying on the ground; he was later transported to hospital for treatment.

Later, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the injured young man arrived at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, adding that he was shot in the thigh, describing his condition as stable.

In related news, occupation authorities served a Palestinian citizen a summons for interrogation in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Silwanic reported that occupation forces summoned the Jerusalemite, Saeed Abu Nijmeh, for investigation at the Qishla police station in the Old City.

On Monday, Abu Nijmeh confronted six illegal Israeli colonizers from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound carrying a young goat in a bag, with the intent to sacrifice it at the Islamic holy site.
