The Israeli occupation army opened fire at Palestinian farmers, and fishermen, on Wednesday morning, in different areas of the besieged Gaza Strip, The Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) reported.

The army opened fire with live ammunition and smoke bombs at farmlands, while farmers were present, south of Khan Younis in the southern coastal enclave, compelling the farmers to abandon their work. No injuries were reported.

Also in the south, east of Khan Younis, near the border fence between Gaza and Israel, the army detained an unidentified Palestinian resident of Gaza, and took him to an unknown location.

WAFA correspondent added that the Israeli Navy attacked Palestinian fishermen sailing three nautical miles off the Sudaniya coast, northwest of Gaza City. Gunboats opened fire with live rounds and fired water cannon towards the fishing boats, forcing the fishermen to leave their work, and return to shore. No injuries were reported.
