Updated: On Wednesday, Israeli occupation soldiers continued their invasion and aggression in the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, for the 23rd consecutive day.

On Wednesday afternoon, the soldiers shot a Palestinian man, 50, with a live round, and assaulted a young man, before Palestinian medics transferred them to hospitals in Jenin.

The soldiers also abducted a young man, after the army stormed and searched a residential building in the Eastern Neighborhood in Jenin city.

Six Palestinians were injured by Israeli soldiers in Jenin; the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its teams treated six injured Palestinians at the Jalama military roadblock, east of Jenin, after the soldiers assaulted them, and transported them to a hospital in Jenin city.

Additionally, the soldiers demolished the home of the family of Nidal Ziyad Al-Amer, 23, in the Jenin refugee camp, and ransacked it.

It is worth mentioning that, on Monday, the army invaded the home and handed the family a demolition order for the two-story house. In early July of last year, undercover Israeli soldiers assassinated Nidal in Jenin.

Furthermore, Israeli military bulldozers damaged streets and properties in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, including the Schools Street and several other streets, as well as citizens’ vehicles and parts of some homes.

According to Jenin Mayor Mohammad Jarar, the city has suffered economic losses exceeding two billion dollars in infrastructure, buildings, shops, vehicles and other property, over the past three years in more than 104 Israeli invasions.

Jarar described the ongoing aggression and forcible removal of the Palestinians as “the worst ever,” especially given the difficult economic conditions, resulting in the displacement of 15,000 citizens in a small city like Jenin.

Demolitions and the burning of citizens’ homes in the refugee camp continue for the 23rd consecutive day, accompanied by intensive flying of Israeli drones.

The soldiers have destroyed the street leading to the Jenin sewage treatment plant and parts of it while deploying military reinforcements, including bulldozers, to the city and around the refugee camp.

The army also continues to demolish, blow up, and burn homes in the Jenin refugee camp, particularly in the neighborhoods of al-Aloub, Al-Fallujah, Al-Bishir, and Ad-Damj, with smoke columns rising and continuous explosions heard.

On Tuesday, Israeli soldiers invaded the town of Ya’bad, south of Jenin, and the town of Rummanah to the west, where they patrolled the streets on foot.

Over the last 23 days of ongoing aggression on Jenin, Israeli soldiers killed 25 Palestinians, injured dozens, and abducted scores of residents.
