On Sunday dawn, Israeli soldiers abducted at least fifteen Palestinians, including a young woman, two children, and several former political prisoners, in various parts of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) and the Palestinian Detainees Committee said in a joint statement that the soldiers stormed and ransacked dozens of homes across the West Bank, causing damage, and interrogated scores of Palestinians before abducting at least fifteen.
They added that most of the invasions and abductions were in Tulkarem, Qalqilia, Jenin, Tubas, Salfit, Jericho, and Jerusalem.
In Qalqilia, in the northwestern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Khaled Morad Eshteiwi, 19, after storming and ransacking his home, and assaulting him, in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of the city.
Khaled, a student at the Najah University in Nablus, studying Telecommunications and Digital Media, is a former political prisoner who was imprisoned by Israel for eight months, and the army previously shot him with live fire.
In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted a young woman, Narmin Jamal Hussein, from her home in Deir Al-Hatab village, after several military vehicles invaded the town, and many neighborhoods in Nablus city, and the soldiers stormed and ransacked many homes.
In Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, the soldiers abducted Soheib Salama Abu Daoud, after storming and ransacking his home in the city.
The soldiers also invaded Yatta town, south of Hebron, before breaking into and violently searching a few homes.
The Israeli army abducted at least 8,495 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank since October 7, 2023.
Most of the abductees were taken from their homes while many were taken on military roadblocks and others were held hostages to pressure their “wanted” family members to surrender to the army.
