At dawn on Friday, Israeli soldiers abducted three Palestinians from their homes in the Nablus governorate, located in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
Medical sources reported that numerous military vehicles invaded villages and towns in the western and southern areas of Nablus, storming and ransacking homes, which caused considerable damage.
The soldiers invaded Burqa village, northwest of Nablus, where they broke into homes, causing extensive destruction, and abducted a former political prisoner, Mohannad Ragheb Salah.
Additionally, the soldiers invaded the towns of Beita and Madama, south of Nablus, where they searched several homes before abducting Fares Bani Shamsa and another former political prisoner, Mahmoud Amer Nassar.
In related developments, Israeli forces also invaded Nablus, particularly the Old City, where they stormed shops, ransacked properties, and blocked several streets, disrupting traffic and leading to protests, during which the soldiers fired live rounds and gas bombs.
As of early April, over 9,900 Palestinians remain in Israeli prisons, including 3,498 administrative detainees, 400 children, and 27 women. Among Gaza detainees, 1,747 have been labeled as “illegal combatants” by Israeli authorities, a designation that excludes many others, especially those held in military camps.
Before October 7, 2023, Israeli prisons held more than 5,250 detainees, including 40 women, 170 children, and approximately 1,320 administrative detainees.
