On Wednesday evening, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) and the Palestinian Detainees’ Committee said the Israeli army abducted at least twenty Palestinians in several areas of the occupied West Bank.

The PPS and the Detainees Committee stated that the number provided is only for those whose abduction has been documented and verified and added that it is likely the soldiers abducted more Palestinians on roadblocks and other areas where it wasn’t possible to document those incidents.

In their statement, they revealed that the Israeli army abducted Palestinians from cities, villages, and towns in Tulkarem, Ramallah, Tubas, Jenin, and many other areas of the West Bank, and added that the soldiers assaulted dozens of Palestinians while interrogating them, and released most of them, except for the documented twenty cases.

They also said that the signs of abuse and torture are visible on the bodies of the released detainees, who also spoke of horrific abuses and violations.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli police said it detained dozens of Palestinian workers who were staying in Jerusalem and other parts of historic Palestine.

More than 10,300 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, have been abducted since October 7, 2023; this number does not include those who were abducted from the Gaza Strip, especially since the fate of many of them remains unknown as Israel refuses to release information about them.

It is worth mentioning that, on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers killed twelve Palestinians from several parts of the occupied West Bank, including seven who were extrajudicially executed.
