Israeli soldiers shot, on Tuesday, two young men in the village of Al-Fandakumiya, southwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank after Israeli forces and armed illegal Israeli colonizers invaded the village.

In the northern occupied West Bank Israeli forces, in addition to illegal colonizers, invaded the village of Al-Fandakumiya, southwest of Jenin, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths.

Sharpshooters were positioned on the rooftops of citizens’ homes and in the vicinity of the village school, while paramilitary colonizers from the illegal “Homesh” colony and soldiers invaded the southern part of the village.

Media sources said that the armed colonizers and soldiers opened fire with live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters at those who resisted the incursion.

One young man was shot in the mouth with live ammunition, a second young man was shot in the foot, while dozens suffered the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.

At dawn Tuesday, the Israeli army shot Hussein Khalil Hussein Abu Jaasa, 51, who later succumbed to wounds he sustained during its invasion of the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Later Tuesday morning soldiers shot five Palestinians, including three children in the Balata camp.

Meanwhile, in Doha town, west of the city of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, Israeli soldiers shot a 19-year-old Palestinian young man in the pelvis with live ammunition.
