On Friday, Israeli soldiers shot seven Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation during the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinians, accompanied by international peace activists, marched in the village before the soldiers attacked them with rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.
Medical sources said the soldiers shot seven young men with rubber-coated steel bullets to various parts of their bodies and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The soldiers also invaded and ransacked many homes in Kufur Qaddoum and interrogated the families.
In addition, the soldiers ambushed the protesters in the olive orchards in Kufur Qaddoum and tried to abduct them.
The Palestinians have been holding weekly processions in Kufur Qaddoum for the last eighteen years, demanding the army to reopen the village’s main road the soldiers blockaded to allow easy access to the illegal colonizers driving to and from Kedumim illegal colony built on stolen Palestinian lands.
