On Thursday, Israeli soldiers caused four Palestinian schoolchildren to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in the al-Isawiya town, east of the occupied capital Jerusalem, in the West Bank.
Mohammad Abu al-Hummus, a local nonviolent activist and a member of the Parents Committees, said several army jeeps invaded the Obeid neighborhood in the town and were deployed near a local high school, where they also stormed and searched a home.
He added that the soldiers fired many gas bombs into the school’s yard, causing four children to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation before they were rushed to the local Al-Bustan Medical Center.
The soldiers also installed roadblocks in the area before stopping and searching many Palestinians, including schoolchildren.
Also, the soldiers abducted two young men, Baha’ Abu Tayeh and Ayman Abu Tayeh, from Silwan town in Jerusalem and moved them to the Al-Maskobiyya interrogation facility.
