On Thursday evening, Israeli soldiers injured many Palestinians and abducted one in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, in the West Bank’s southern part.
Mohammad Awad, a local media activist, said the soldiers invaded the town and abducted a former political prisoner, Majdi Za’aqeeq, 19, after repeatedly assaulting him, causing various injuries.
He added that Majdi was walking with his mother near the military tower at the entrance of the town, when they saw the soldiers detaining a child before the army assaulted him in front of his mother and took him to a nearby military base.
The attacks led to protests before the soldiers fired many gas bombs and concussion grenades, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Awad stated that he was trying to document the attacks when the soldiers detained him and forced him to leave the area.
