Israeli soldiers shot, Friday, nine Palestinians, including a child, with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.
The procession also came in solidarity with all Palestinian political prisoners held by Israel, especially the seriously ailing detainee, Nasser Abu Hmeid, and against the escalating Israeli violations and illegal colonialist activities.
The soldiers invaded the village from several directions and occupied rooftops to attack the protesters before firing many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at them.
Medical sources said the soldiers shot nine Palestinians, including a child, with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Palestinians have been holding weekly processions in Kufur Qaddoum for the last eighteen years, demanding the army to reopen the village’s main road the soldiers blockaded to allow easy access to the illegal colonizers driving to and from Kedumim illegal colony built on stolen Palestinian lands.
