Two Palestinian children suffered tear‑gas inhalation after Israeli occupation forces invaded, late Friday night, the town of Al‑Khader and the Deheishe refugee camp south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank. The soldiers also invaded the town of Deir Ballut west of Salfit, and the Old Askar refugee camp east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
In Al‑Khader, west of Bethlehem, soldiers deployed in the Abu ‘Amous neighborhood and around the Conference Palace near Solomon’s Pools. No home invasions or abductions were reported.
Forces also stormed the Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, taking positions near the Murad area by the traffic lights, and fired toxic tear‑gas canisters toward Palestinians shopping for Eid al‑Adha along the main Jerusalem–Hebron road.
The attacks led to protests, during which soldiers fired tear‑gas canisters and stun grenades, causing two children, aged two and four, to suffer from suffocation.
In related news, soldiers invaded Deir Ballut, west of Salfit in the central West Bank, before firing gas bombs at Palestinian farmers and residents in the agricultural plain.
Troops spread throughout the area and obstructed the movement of residents while large numbers of farmers and families were present.
Local sources reported that the military has continued to impose tightened restrictions in the Deir Ballut Plain, particularly during the “cucumber season,” a key source of income for local farmers and an annual event awaited by residents.
In addition, many Israeli military vehicles invaded the Old Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank, and fired many gas bombs and concussion grenades.
