Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian child, at dawn Tuesday, in the center of Ramallah city, in the central part of the occupied West Bank. He is the second citizen to be killed by occupation forces in a matter of hours.
Media sources reported that occupation forces shot the 15-year-old child, Amjad Nassar Awad Hawshiya, while he was present at the Al-Manara roundabout, in the city center of Ramallah city.
Eyewitnesses told the WAFA News Agency that an Israeli sharpshooter opened fire at citizens in the area, shooting Hawshiya in the chest with live ammunition.
Sources added that Hawshiya, from Yatta town, south of Hebron, succumbed to a critical gunshot wound inflicted on him by Israeli forces.
In the afternoon, local Palestinians gathered in front of the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah to receive the body of the slain child, and proceeded towards his family’s home in Yatta town.
Family members said their final goodbyes before the body was transferred to the Martyrs’ Mosque. Mourners performed the funeral prayer, before laying the body of the slain child to rest in the Qanan al-Tawil cemetery in Yatta town.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces detained and interrogated several Palestinians, and abducted one after storming several citizens’ homes in Ramallah city.
Media sources said that the army invaded and ransacked many homes on Rukab Street in the city center, and in the Ain Misbah neighborhood, before subjecting several young men to field interrogation.
Sources added that soldiers stormed and ransacked the home of the young man, Mohammad Saqr, on Rakab Street, before abducting him.

In related news, occupation forces shot and killed the young man, Samer Bassam Al-Zagharneh, 24, with live ammunition, while he was present near the Apartheid Wall, near Ath-Thahiriya town, southwest of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces and colonizers have killed 167 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 30 children and 6 women.
Occupation forces have killed 59 Palestinians in Jenin, 28 in Nablus, 26 in Tubas, 16 in Tulkarem, 10 in Hebron, 9 in Ramallah, 6 in Bethlehem, 5 in Jerusalem, 4 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.
In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 56,531, including women and children, while at least 133,642 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.
