On Monday evening, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of a young man whom Israeli soldiers shot in the Al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
The Health Ministry said the soldiers shot Mohammad Majed Ibrahim Hammad, 20, with live rounds to the chest.
It added that the Palestinian was rushed to a medical center but succumbed to his serious wounds.
The Palestinians were protesting the escalating Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip and the increasing violations in the West Bank when the soldiers attacked them with live fire, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.
Besides shooting Hammad in the chest, the soldiers shot a young man in the leg and caused dozens of Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
On Monday evening, the Health Ministry confirmed the death of Montaser Abdul-Hamid Za’aqeeq, 31, whom Israeli soldiers shot in the head, in Beit Ummar town north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, during the funeral procession of a young man killed by the soldiers earlier.
The Palestinians were holding the funeral procession of Mahmoud Bassem Ekhmayyes, 18 years old, who died from wounds after being shot by the Israeli occupation forces in Beit Ummar.
On Monday dawn, Israeli soldiers killed Rajeh Husam Taha Abu Sneina, 18, in the Jaber neighborhood in Hebron city, after he reportedly tried to ram a military roadblock with a bulldozer he was driving.
The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli fire in the West Bank since last Saturday has arrived at eighteen, including three children; at least 90 Palestinians have been injured.
