Israeli forces shot and killed, on Monday night, a Palestinian young man and injured another, after invading the town of Doura, southwest of Hebron in the southern West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced, after midnight Monday/Tuesday, that the young man, Mahmoud Ibrahim Al-Hroub, 18, succumbed to his critical injuries inflicted on him by Israeli forces.

Media sources said that occupation forces stormed the town of Doura, southwest of Hebron, on Monday night, triggering protests among local Palestinian youths.


Sources added that soldiers opened fire with live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters at those who resisted the incursion, injuring two with live rounds, including Al-Hroub who was critically wounded.

Occupation forces shot Al-Hroub in the eye with live ammunition, the bullet reportedly entered the brain; he was rushed to hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Soldiers shot a second young man in the pelvis with live ammunition during the military incursion; he was transported to hospital, while dozens of others sustained inhalation injuries and were treated at the scene.


In related news, Israeli forces shot four Palestinian young men in Nablus, and three others in Hebron, in the northern and southern parts of the occupied West Bank.

According to the WAFA News Agency, Israeli forces have killed 636 Palestinians, including 147 children, and injured 5,400 in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military has killed 40,139 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and injured 92,743 since the beginning of its military onslaught on October 7, 2023, while thousands remain under the rubble.
