On Saturday dawn, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of a Palestinian teenage boy whom Israeli soldiers shot and seriously injured when the army invaded Jericho and demolished a home.
The Health Ministry said Mohammad Suleiman Awanja, 17, succumbed to serious wounds he suffered during protests on Al-Quds Street, south of Jericho.
The Health Ministry said the soldiers shot Mohammad with several live rounds in the upper body before he was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his serious wounds.
Late on Friday night, the soldiers initiated a massive invasion of Jericho city, Aqabat Jaber, and Ein Al-Sultan refugee camp in Jericho and demolished the home of a detainee, Maher Shalloon, 44.
The invasion and demolition, which continued overnight until early morning hours, led to protests before the soldiers shot Mohammad and another Palestinian.
The soldiers also stormed and ransacked several homes before abducting Khamis Sarafandi from his home in Aqabat Jaber and Suleiman Abu Roumi from his home in Jericho city.
Israeli soldiers and paramilitary colonizers have killed 84 Palestinians, including children, and injured hundreds, since October 7th.
Also at dawn, Israeli soldiers abducted 109 Palestinians, including many former political prisoners, after the army stormed and ransacked hundreds of homes, in Hebron, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Nablus.
