Palestinian medical sources have confirmed, earlier Monday, that a Palestinian child was seriously injured after Israeli soldiers shot him with a concussion grenade directly to the head in Beit Awwa town, southwest of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
Mohammad Masalma, Director of Beit Awwa Municipality, stated that Israeli forces stormed the town and fired sound grenades and toxic gas at residents.
He added that, during their withdrawal, the soldiers targeted 15-year-old Nazeeh Eyad Awad, a student at Beit Awwa Boys Secondary School, striking him in the head with a concussion grenade as he was leaving his home in the Wadi al-Simya area to go to school.
Palestinian medics rushed the wounded child to the Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron for treatment, where his condition was described as critical.
Additionally, a woman suffered from severe gas inhalation and was taken to Dura Governmental Hospital for medical care.
