Early on Thursday morning, a young man was shot after the Israeli soldiers stormed the city of Tulkarm and the Tulkarem refugee camp, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, leading to protests.

Seven military vehicles, including armored bulldozers, stormed the city and the refugee camp from its western area, and roamed its various neighborhoods, specifically the western and eastern neighborhoods, before stationing around the Isra’ Specialist Hospital, Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, and the vicinity of the Muqata’s Palestinian headquarters adjacent to Tulkarm refugee camp.

The soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and concussion grenades, while reconnaissance aircraft flew over the city and its refugee camps.

Medical sources stated that the soldiers shot a young man with live rounds in the refugee camp, and prevented ambulances from entering the area.

The army later pushed more reinforcements accompanied by heavy military bulldozers towards the city and its camp, while they surrounded Tulkarm refugee camp and deployed snipers on the roofs of high buildings overlooking the camp.

Also, Palestinian fighters exchanged fire with the invading Israeli military vehicles and detonated explosive charges, destroying an armored D9 military bulldozer, and engulfing it in flames, in Tulkarem city.

Israeli sources said one soldier was injured during the invasion without providing further details.

The military bulldozers also destroyed infrastructure at the western entrance of the Tulkarem refugee camp, while other military vehicles invaded Nablus Street, adjacent to the northern entrance of the refugee camp and in the neighboring Thannaba Suburb.
