According to Rami Hamamra, head of the town council, said that local Palestinians protested the army presence at the eastern entrance to the town
Hamamra said that soldiers fired many live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters gas, causing several citizens to sustain inhalation injuries.
He added that the army fired concussion grenades near commercial shops forcing them to close their businesses, and damaged citizens’ vehicles.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops invaded the Al-Awael School and Kindergarten, vandalized its contents, while inspecting surveillance camera recordings.
Later, soldiers opened fire towards a vehicle that was driving through the town, and shot a Palestinian woman with a live round in the shoulder.
The condition of the injured woman was not known at the time of writing this report.
In the evening, Israeli troops invaded Nahalin village, west of Bethlehem, from several directions, sparking protests.
The army fired live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters without any reports of injuries.
