On Saturday, Israeli forces shot three children in Beit Furik, invaded Nablus city, and several towns and villages in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus, storming homes and interrogating their residents.
Amid Ahmed, director of the emergency and ambulance center, for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Nablus, told the WAFA News Agency that its ambulance crews transported three children suffering gunshot wounds in Beit Furik town.
WAFA correspondent reported that occupation forces invaded the town of Beit Furik, and opened fire with many live rounds and tear gas canisters, sparking protests.
Meanwhile, the army stormed the town of Qusra, southeast of Nablus, while local Palestinians confronted the invading army.
According to Fawaed Hassan, a local anti-settlement activist, Israeli forces stormed Qusra town, and opened fire towards citizens with live rounds and tear gas canisters; no injuries were reported.
Furthermore, occupation forces invaded the city of Nablus and the town of Tal, southwest of the city, breaking into several citizens’ homes.
Media sources said that Israeli forces stormed Nablus city, at dawn Saturday, and positioned their vehicles in the vicinity of the Old City, the commercial market, Faisal Street, and the eastern part of the city.
WAFA correspondent reported that occupation soldiers invaded the town of Tal, broke into many citizens’ homes, detaining their residents and subjecting them to field interrogation; no abductions were reported.
Quds News Network reported that Israeli forces invaded the town of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, in addition to storming the town of Beita, south of the city, where soldiers detained a child and opened fire with concussion grenades and tear gas canisters.
QNN also reported that the army invaded the villages of Madama and Burin, south of Nablus, and destroyed memorials of slain Palestinians.
The British newspaper, The Guardian published a report on Saturday, which featured a video of the moment occupation forces shot and killed 12-year-old Palestinian child, Ayman Al-Hammouni in Hebron on February 21, 2025.
The report suggests that “the killing of children in the West Bank is no longer out of the ordinary,” and that “the intensity has increased since the January ceasefire in the [Gaza] Strip.”
The report said that “so far this year about two children a week have been killed, slightly over the average rate for 2024 when 93 children were killed.”
The report quoted the slain child’s father, Nassar Al-Hammouni who said, “It is about rage and revenge,” adding “They don’t care if it’s a child, or a woman, or an old person. No one’s safe any more.”
