Israeli occupation authorities uprooted, Sunday, dozens of olive trees in the Wadi Qana area of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit in the occupied West Bank’s central part.

Ibrahim Al-Hamad, Director of the Salfit Agriculture Directorate, stated that Israeli forces uprooted approximately 135 olive trees, each over seven years old, belonging to three local farmers.

Al-Hamad described the incident as part of a sustained campaign of violations targeting agricultural lands in the region.

This attack follows a broader pattern of escalating violations by illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers and soldiers documented by the Wall & Colonization Settlement Resistance Commission.

At dawn Thursday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers set fire to the Hajja Hamida Mosque, located between the towns of Deir Istiya and Kifl Haris, near Salfit.

In its October report, the Commission recorded 2,350 separate violations carried out by Israeli forces and colonizers across the West Bank.

  • Israeli military: 1,584 attacks
  • Colonizers: 766 attacks

Most affected governorates:

  • Ramallah and al-Bireh: 542 attacks
  • Nablus: 412 attacks
  • Hebron: 401 attacks

The documented violations include direct physical assaults, uprooting of trees, arson targeting agricultural fields, preventing olive harvesters from accessing their land, property seizure, and demolition of homes and agricultural structures.

These systematic attacks aim to displace Palestinian farmers, undermine rural livelihoods, and facilitate land seizure under the guise of security and colonialist expansion.
