Israeli occupation forces continued violating the “ceasefire” across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, carrying out drone strikes, artillery shelling, and home demolitions that killed nine Palestinians and injured thirty‑six others within twenty‑four hours, in attacks targeting displaced families and various parts of the devastated and besieged coastal enclave.
Two Palestinians were killed and seven others injured when an Israeli drone fired a missile at a civilian vehicle in the al‑Baraka area south of Deir al‑Balah in central Gaza.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said its crews transported the two slain men and the injured to al‑Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
Residents reported that Israeli drones and warplanes carried out three additional strikes in the nearby al‑Mat’haf area.
The Interior Ministry in Gaza announced the killing of Colonel Wael al‑Liddawi, director of the Internal Security apparatus in the central governorate, and officer Ramez Abu Zureiq, after an Israeli strike targeted their vehicle in Deir al‑Balah. The ministry said the two were killed in a direct attack and held the Israeli army responsible.
Israeli military vehicles also opened fire near the municipal stadium close to Kissufim Street southeast of Deir al‑Balah. No injuries were immediately reported.
In Gaza City, Israeli artillery shelled the eastern neighborhoods while soldiers fired smoke bombs in the north, coinciding with the demolition of residential buildings in the northwestern areas of the Strip.
Israeli occupation forces also continued detonating Palestinian homes in southern Gaza, while artillery targeted the northwestern neighborhoods of Rafah.
In Khan Younis, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft intensified their presence over the city as artillery fire struck its eastern neighborhoods.
Furthermore, a medical source confirmed the death of Suleiman Taysir Sahmoud, who succumbed to wounds sustained in an Israeli strike near Street 5 in Khan Younis on Saturday afternoon.
In addition, an Israeli drone also carried out three strikes on the al‑Mat’haf area between Khan Younis and Deir al‑Balah.
In northern Gaza, a child was shot and injured by Israeli forces near the Jabalia Martyrs Center for Care. Israeli artillery also simultaneously shelled the northwestern areas of Rafah, in Gaza’s southernmost area.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army claimed it killed what it called the commander of Hamas’ drone unit in the central refugee camps, saying in a statement that it had targeted and killed Hammam Eid on Saturday.
The army alleged that Eid oversaw the production of drones and had attempted to restore Hamas’ drone capabilities “in violation of the ceasefire.”

The Palestinian Health Ministry said hospitals in Gaza received nine Palestinians killed in the past twenty‑four hours—seven slain in new attacks and two who died of previous wounds—along with thirty‑six injured.
The ministry added that since the “ceasefire” began on October 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,200 Palestinians and injured 3,888, while rescue teams have recovered 803 bodies from under the rubble.
The cumulative toll since the beginning of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023, has reached 73,326 Palestinians killed and 173,997 injured, with many victims still trapped under destroyed homes and in streets that ambulances cannot reach.
