Israeli occupation forces carried out a new series of airstrikes and artillery and naval bombardments across the Gaza Strip at dawn on Saturday, killing a Palestinian man and critically injuring his young daughter, in yet another violation of the ceasefire that has been in place since October 11 of last year.
Medical sources confirmed that Ahmad Mohammad al‑Qudra was killed early Saturday when Israeli forces bombed a home in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The sources added that Ahmad’s daughter sustained life‑threatening injuries in the same attack.
In addition, the Israeli army continued demolishing and detonating homes and buildings across areas east of Khan Younis.
Throughout the morning, Israeli warplanes struck several locations east of the at‑Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, while naval forces opened heavy machine‑gun fire and launched shells toward the Gaza coastline.
Residents in the northwestern areas of the Strip reported intermittent artillery shelling that continued for hours.
In southern Gaza, Israeli aircraft launched at least one strike east of Khan Younis, while naval units simultaneously fired on the city’s coastline and artillery units targeted its eastern outskirts.
Witnesses said an Israeli drone fired at least one missile at al‑Qudra in an area that, under the ceasefire terms, lies outside the designated zone of Israeli military deployment.
Israeli warplanes also struck sites east of at‑Tuffah in areas under direct Israeli military control, while naval forces continued firing toward the Gaza shoreline.
Northwestern Gaza experienced repeated bursts of artillery fire, and at least one additional airstrike was reported east of Khan Younis.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in its Saturday report that three Palestinians were killed, and three others injured in the past 24 hours.
The ministry warned that the real toll is likely higher, as many victims remain under the rubble or in areas inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams due to ongoing Israeli fire and destroyed roads.
Since the “ceasefire” took effect on October 11, Israeli forces have killed 640 Palestinians and injured 1,707, while civil defense teams have recovered 753 bodies from destroyed neighborhoods.
The cumulative toll of the genocide since October 7, 2023, has now risen to 72,123 Palestinians killed and 171,805 wounded.
Medical teams say the numbers continue to climb as more bodies are recovered and as hospitals struggle with severe shortages of fuel, medicine, and surgical supplies.
