Israeli troops reportedly abducted, late on Wednesday night and early on Thursday at dawn, eight Palestinians, across the occupied West Bank.

The Ramallah-based Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said in a statement that Israeli troops invaded both Ya’bad and Qabatia villages of Jenin district and abducted Nour Bashar Abu Bakr, a former prisoner and his brother Baraa, along with Mahmoud Turkman, Mahmoud Abu al-Rub, Abdelsalam Elnabeeh Abu al-Rub.

The statement added that Israeli troops abducted Farid Alterawi from the Jallazoun refugee camp and Sameeh Elian from the al-‘Isawiya neighborhood from the internationally-recognized occupied Arab East Jerusalem, as well as Omar Abdel-Mahdi from the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

Noteworthy, Israeli troops’ abduction operations have reportedly been stepped up recently, amidst Palestinian expectations that Israel will further embark on widespread abductions, across the occupied West Bank, ahead of the planned annexation of the region, predicted by July of this summer.
