On Sunday, Israeli forces continued their assaults on Palestinian towns and villages throughout the occupied West Bank , while illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers also continued their daily attacks and theft of land from the indigenous Palestinian population. This is in addition to the 88+ Palestinians killed in Gaza on Sunday, as Israeli forces continue their 660th day of genocide of the 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza.

Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, located south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.

Media sources said many vehicles invaded the village and positioned themselves in the center, where soldiers deployed sound grenades at residents and their vehicles.

Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya has endured a prolonged closure of its main entrance for several months, alongside daily military invasions and violations.

These invasions have included the firing of live rounds, tear gas and stun grenades, physical assaults and abuse targeting the residents, especially young men, the illegal occupation and conversion of civilian homes into makeshift military posts, and the confiscation of private property. In July alone, four Palestinian vehicles were seized during Israeli operations in the village.

In Qalqilia, in the northern West Bank, the soldiers invaded several neighborhoods and closed streets, in addition to breaking into a few homes and violently searching them.

In Tulkarem, in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli soldiers invaded Ektaba suburb, east of the city, and abducted Nayef Al-Qar’ani, after storming his home and ransacking it.

In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, Palestinian national and Islamic forces, along with detainees’ institutions, held a sit-in in the courtyard of Al-Bireh Cultural Center to protest the Israeli occupation government’s starvation policy targeting civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of citizens participated, including representatives of political factions and civil society organizations.

Attendees held up images of children who died from malnutrition in Gaza, bearing slogans such as “No to starving Gaza,” “Humanity has fallen,” and “Starvation, not famine.”

Most demonstrators wore black T-shirts emblazoned with “Stop the Genocide” on the front and “Hunger Strike” on the back.

The procession followed last Thursday’s announcement by political and community leaders of an open-ended hunger strike to support Gaza’s population amid widespread hunger and continued military aggression.

The sit-in also served as a call to mobilize for the upcoming “International Day in Support of Gaza and political prisoners,” scheduled for August 3rd.

The day of action aims to demand an end to the ongoing genocide, deadly violations against the detainees, illegal colonialist expansion and the violations by the paramilitary colonizers, demolitions and forced displacement.

Amin Shuman, head of the Higher Committee for Detainees and Ex-Detainee’ Affairs, stated that the sit-in reaffirms rejection of the occupation’s starvation tactics, which are impacting over 2.2 million people in Gaza, predominantly children, women, and the elderly.

“The genocidal Israeli government is committing crimes against Palestinian children,” Shuman said, “Today, we raise the images of Gaza’s children to declare that what is happening is a crime against humanity and an indictment of all who claim to stand for democracy and human rights.”

Shuman emphasized Palestinian unity in the face of colonial aggression, affirming a collective determination to uphold national principles.

He urged Palestinians everywhere, along with global allies, to rise on August 3rd and take part in the central events of the International Day to Demand an End to the Genocide in Gaza, reject systematic displacement, and stand in solidarity with Palestinian detainees held in Israeli prisons and detention camps.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli occupation forces summoned Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, for interrogation.

He was then handed a one-week ban from Al-Aqsa Mosque, subject to renewal.

Sheikh Hussein told WAFA News that he was summoned this morning to an intelligence center in the Old City following his Friday sermon, which denounced the occupation’s starvation policy against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

During the interrogation, he was presented with the military order banning him from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and was asked to sign it, but he refused.

Meanwhile, groups of colonizers, accompanied by Israeli soldiers and police officers invaded the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours after the army forced dozens of Palestinian worshipers out.

Furthermore, the Israeli army issued an order barring an elderly Jerusalemite Palestinian woman, Khadija Khweiss, from travelling abroad. The order did not specify a time frame of the ban.

It is worth mentioning that, back in January, Khweiss was slapped with an order barring her from entering other parts of the West Bank for six months.

Also in Jerusalem, the soldiers invaded Qalandia refugee camp, north of the city, stormed and ransacked several homes before abducting a young man, Nasser Jamal Bzea’.

Early Sunday morning, Israeli occupation authorities compelled two Palestinian families in Jerusalem to carry out the demolition of their own homes under threat of heavy penalties and imprisonment.

In Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, Israeli soldiers abducted six Palestinians, including a child, during overnight invasions across multiple towns.

Media sources said the soldiers stormed Sa’ir town, where they abducted former prisoner Hiran Jaradat and 14-year-old Murad al-Mitwer.

They added that the soldiers also invaded the town of ath-Thaheriya, south of Hebron abducted the father of ًWadea’ Mohammad Othman Samamra, 19, along with Mohammad Othman Samamra, his son Motea’, and his nephew. It is worth mentioning that Samara was killed by the army on Friday.

In addition, the soldiers abducted Mahmoud Dawoud Abu Turki, after ransacking his home, seizing his vehicle, and assaulting him and his family.

They also invaded homes in the Salaima neighborhood of Hebron’s Old City, subjecting residents to physical abuse and intimidation.
