On Saturday, the Israeli occupation authorities transferred the corpse of a Palestinian, killed by Israeli soldiers in January of this year, to his family for burial.
The army handed the corpse of Faleh Mousa Jaradat, 39, to his family through the al-Jalama military roadblock, east of Bethlehem city,
His corpse was then transferred by Red Crescent medics to his home in Sa’ir town, east of Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, for a proper burial ceremony.
Jaradat was fatally shot by Israeli soldiers on January 17, 2022, at the Gush Etzion junction, north of Hebron, after he allegedly attempted to “stab a soldier,” an allegation that could not be verified.
The army then took his corpse in the act of collective punishment and refused to transfer it back to the families until Saturday.
