Israeli occupation forces carried out a sweeping campaign of invasions and abductions across the occupied West Bank from Friday evening through Saturday morning, seizing at least eighty Palestinians, including former detainees. Rights groups said the number is likely to rise as Israeli troops continue to invade towns and break into homes in multiple districts.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said the campaign came one day after the deadly attacks in the village of Tell, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
The largest number of abductions occurred in Tell itself, where dozens of residents were seized and subjected to field interrogation, reflecting what the organization described as an ongoing policy of collective punishment.
The organization reported that Israeli forces have escalated abductions and field interrogations at an unprecedented pace, alongside intensified attacks by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers.
It said most recent abductions were carried out after Palestinians confronted colonizer assaults and attempted to protect their towns and lands.
The PPS added that field interrogation has expanded into a systematic tool of repression across West Bank districts.
Large numbers of residents are held for hours, families are forced out of their homes, and invasions are accompanied by terror, destruction, and extensive damage to property, along with physical and psychological abuse preceding or accompanying abductions.
The Prisoners’ Society said these violations reflect long‑standing Israeli policies aimed at suppressing Palestinian presence and imposing systems of control. It noted that the period following the recent mass killing has seen an unprecedented surge in violence and abuses, both during abductions and inside Israeli prisons.
Daily abduction campaigns remain a central component of the broader assault on Palestinians. Since the beginning of the year, more than 3,600 abductions have been documented in the occupied West Bank, in addition to thousands subjected to field interrogation.
The organization said the escalation is not new; the months following the mass killing saw record numbers of abductions and interrogations, forming part of Israel’s strategy of widening collective targeting.

In Ramallah in the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted fourteen residents: Jawdat Abdullah, Basheer Noureddin, Mazen Jaber, Rabee Hassan, Abdul Yasser, Hanoud Aqleh, Basheer Qubaisi, Sami Qbeisi, Abdullah Ayman, and Abboud Khalil from Abwein; Ja’far Misbah Fuqaha and Qassam Sami Shabana from Sinjil; Abdul‑Rahman Abdul‑Baset Abu Alia from al‑Mughayyer; and Wiliam al‑Barghouthi from Deir Abu Mish’al.
In Jenin in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted five residents: Taye’ Zakarna from Qabatiya, Jihad al‑Sa’adi from Jenin city, Ahmad Rami Jaradat and Naji Mahmoud Jaradat from al‑Silat al‑Harithiya, and Zaki Mer’ey from Kafr Dan.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, eight residents were abducted: Raed Hassan Amro, Obada Ismail Amro, and Ra’fat Salem Awlad Mohammad from villages west of Doura; Aseed Mahmoud Rabee from Yatta; Abdul‑Hakim Abu Jheisha and Yousef Khalil al‑Batran from Ethna; and Yousef Abdul‑Hamid Abu Mariya and Mohammad Waheed Abu Mariya from Beit Ummar.
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces abducted three residents: Mustafa Sami Hmeidan from Aida refugee camp, Ibrahim Mohammad Asakra from the Asakra area—an imam—and Mohammad Salem Younes Rashaida from the village of Rashaida.
In Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, six residents were abducted: Amjad Radwan al‑Hindi and Kayed Yahya from Tulkarem city; Fahed Abu Hantash and Rayan Abu Sheikha from the Shweika neighborhood; Fathi Maher al‑Qub from Deir al‑Ghusoun; and former detainee Malek Rushdi Ja’ar from Allar.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces abducted Ali Adwan from the town of al‑‘Eizariya.
Furthermore, Israeli forces invaded the entrance of the village of Nabi Elias, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, on Saturday and closed its main road with an iron gate, blocking the movement of residents.
