On Monday, Israeli soldiers shot fourteen Palestinians, most of them children, in Zawata village, west of Nablus in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
Several Israeli military jeeps invaded Zawata, leading to protests before the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs at the protesters and surrounding homes and buildings.
Medical sources said the soldiers shot fourteen Palestinians, mostly children, with live fire, including one who suffered a gunshot wound to the head and another who suffered shrapnel wounds to the leg and the thigh.
They added that many Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, including a teenage girl who was moved to a medical center.
The soldiers also fired live rounds at a Palestinian ambulance, causing damage, after preventing the medics from reaching the invaded area.
