The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has called on the international community to promptly implement the recently adopted UN General Assembly resolution, submitted by the State of Palestine, and approved by a majority vote.

This resolution demands that Israel, the occupying power, end its “illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territories” within 12 months.

In a statement issued Thursday, the ministry emphasized the urgent need for the resolution’s implementation to ensure the cessation of occupation and colonization of Palestinian land.

It added that this is the only pathway to achieving peace, security, and stability in the region and worldwide.

The ministry highlighted its ongoing efforts to monitor Israel’s continuous illegal land annexations, engaging with international entities and courts to hold Israel accountable for its actions and persistent impunity.

It strongly condemned the extensive illegal annexation of Palestinain lands by Israeli occupation authorities across the occupied West Bank, including the occupied capital, Jerusalem.

Recent Israeli violations include the illegal annexation of hundreds of dunams of Palestinian lands in Tubas, Tulkarm, the Jordan Valley, Al-Mughayyir, and Husan, alongside the ongoing displacement and theft of Palestinain property and land in Masafer Yatta and other areas classified as “Area C.”

The Ministry held the Israeli government and its extremist ministers fully and directly responsible for the repercussions of this serious escalation, which is occurring amid global distractions by Israel’s wars and colonial aggressions, including the genocide in the devastated Gaza Strip.
