Starving child looks at her photo from before the Israeli genocide in Gaza began

On Monday, July 14th, 2025, Day 646 of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and Day 117 since Israel violated the mediated ceasefire agreement on March 18, Israeli forces committed multiple massacres of Palestinian civilians. At least 72 Palestinian civilians have been killed on Monday. Rates of malnutrition, especially among children, are skyrocketing, and food aid distribution has become chaotic and deadly since a US firm took over distribution on May 27th.

14 members of the Arafat family were killed in the Zarqa neighborhood north of Gaza City.

10 Palestinians were killed in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, and over 25 injured.

Six Palestinians were killed, and many injured, when the army fired a shell at tents housing displaced families in the Rimal neighborhood, in the western part of Gaza city.

Four Palestinians, including children, were also killed, and many injured, in an Israeli bombing of tents in Gaza city’s Nasr neighborhood.

Three members of the same family, including a woman, were killed in an Israeli airstrike near the university college south of Gaza City.

Four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone attack on a group of citizens in the center and east of Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

A Palestinian was killed and four others were injured when the occupation forces targeted a water distribution vehicle behind Al-Huda Mosque in Al-Nuseirat.

Details on these and other Israeli attacks below.

In an updated tally announced by the Ministry of Health this evening, the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 58,386, in addition to 139,077 injuries. A number of victims remain buried under the rubble and in the streets, with rescue teams unable to reach them due to the intense bombardment and the near-total collapse of basic services.

Israeli forces also issued an order preventing Palestinians from accessing the sea – the only way for most Palestinians living in the tent cities since their homes were destroyed to cool off during this extreme heat wave, as well as a source of fish for the starving population.

The Israeli airforce dropped bombs the al-Mawasi ‘safe zone’ – bombed for the tenth day in a row, as well as Khan Younis and Gaza City. Forced evacuations of all Palestinians in the city of Khan Younis continued today, after Israel issued orders last week requiring tens of thousands of people to move to the so-called ‘safe zone’ of Al-Mawasi.

The Israeli military committed numerous war crimes again on Monday (details below), bombing and shelling the starved, besieged and unarmed civilian population of 2.3 million people imprisoned inside the Gaza death camp (Israel claims to be ‘targeting Hamas militants’, but the overwhelming majority of the nearly 60,000 documented killed since October 2023 have been non-combatants, including nearly 17,000 children).

Intense Israeli shelling on several areas in the Gaza Strip began early in the morning and continued through the afternoon and into the evening — as has been the case every day in Gaza since October 7, 2023 (apart from a five-day ceasefire in late November 2023, and a 51-day ceasefire from January 25th through March 18th, 2025).

The death toll from civilians killed at the gladiator-style arenas set up by the US-based Zionist company ‘GHF’ continues to grow. According to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, nearly 800 Palestinians have been killed while trying to access aid in Gaza between late May, when the GHF launched its operations, and 7 July. Scores more have been killed since then, and over 5,000 have been injured.

Meanwhile, health officials said seven children were killed after an Israeli air strike targeted a water distribution site in central Gaza.

On Israel’s Channel 14 Monday, Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen stated that the Gaza Strip “should remain destroyed for decades,” emphasizing that the Israeli government has no intention of supporting the reconstruction of the Gaza infrastructure after the ongoing war ends.

The following Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilians were documented on Mondaty by local sources:

8:22 pm:

Israeli occupation forces committed two new massacres against civilians in Gaza City on Tuesday evening, killing 24 people and wounding dozens. Rescue teams are still unable to reach the targeted sites due to the ongoing shelling and destruction of infrastructure.

According to the Wafa news agency, a violent bombardment targeted a five-story house belonging to the Arafat family in the Zarqa neighborhood north of Gaza City, killing 14 citizens. Ambulance and civil defense crews were unable to reach the site to retrieve the victims from under the rubble.

In the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of the city, a similar attack targeted a populated house, killing at least 10 civilians and wounding more than 25 others, some of whom are in critical condition.

4:17 pm

Thirteen Palestinians, mostly children, were killed and others injured on Monday evening after the Israeli occupation forces targeted various areas in the Gaza Strip .

Medical sources reported that nine civilians were killed and several others were injured when an Israeli drone bombed a tent housing displaced people in the Al-Ard Al-Tayyiba area, west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Four citizens were killed and others injured after the occupation forces bombed a commercial store near Burj Hammam in Al-Bureij refugee camp, central Gaza Strip.

A number of citizens were also injured after the occupation forces bombed a group of citizens in Khan Yunis camp, south of the Gaza Strip.

A number of citizens were killed and others injured on Monday after the Israeli occupation forces targeted various areas in the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that three members of the same family, including a woman, were killed in an Israeli airstrike near the university college south of Gaza City.

Nasser Medical Complex announced the arrival of four martyrs in an Israeli drone attack on a group of citizens in the center and east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

A citizen was killed and four others were injured when the occupation forces targeted a water distribution vehicle behind Al-Huda Mosque in Al-Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces bombed one of the last remaining water trucks in Gaza:

According to statistics released by the Gaza Government Media Office, the Israeli forces have committed the following crimes in its ‘war on water’, aimed at removing all sources of clean, potable drinking water for the people of Gaza:

  • Targeted 112 freshwater collection points, committing massacres against hundreds of civilians, most of them children, who were waiting in lines to collect drinking water.
  • The most recent of these atrocities occurred at the New Camp area northwest of Al-Nuseirat Camp (central Gaza), where 12 people were killed, including 8 children.
  • Deliberately destroyed 720 water wells, putting them out of service. This has deprived over 1.25 million people of access to clean water.
  • Prevented the entry of 12 million liters of fuel per month, the minimum required to operate water wells, sewage treatment plants, waste collection vehicles, and other vital sectors. This blockade has led to the near-total paralysis of water and sewage systems, exacerbating the spread of diseases and epidemics, particularly among children.
  • Since January 23, 2025, the occupation has cut off “Mekorot” water supplies – one of the main water sources feeding Gaza’s governorates – further intensifying the water crisis and daily suffering.
  • On March 9, 2025, the occupation severed the last power line that supplied the central seawater desalination plant located south of Deir al-Balah (central Gaza), halting the production of large quantities of drinking water and worsening the already dire water crisis.

8:24 am:

A Palestinian was killed and several others were injured on Monday morning when an Israeli drone bombed a tent housing displaced people west of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.

Three Israeli soldiers killed in combat:

On its part, the Israeli military announced the deaths of three soldiers and the critical injury of an officer from the 52nd Armored Battalion during operations in northern Gaza.

According to Israeli media, Palestinian resistance factions launched coordinated attacks against Israeli forces in Khan Younis, Jabalia, Al-Tuffah, and Shuja’iyya neighborhoods, before Israeli warplanes carried out intensive airstrikes targeting the sites of the operations in Al-Tuffah and Shuja’iyya.

Israeli outlets reported that three soldiers were killed when a Merkava tank was struck by an anti-armor projectile in Gaza.

Israeli Army Radio, citing a military source, reported that three soldiers from the 401st Brigade were killed inside their tank during operations in Jabalia, northern Gaza.

The army has not yet confirmed the exact cause of the explosion that led to their deaths. All possibilities are currently under investigation, including the likelihood of “the tank being hit by a projectile or an internal operational malfunction.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the deaths of three soldiers today, saying: “It is a difficult evening, and the entire Israeli nation mourns the fighters from the Armored Brigade.”

Media reports also indicated that remains of an Israeli soldier were recovered following clashes earlier in the day.

The wife of an Israeli soldier killed in Gaza two days ago eulogized him saying at his funeral, saying, “Every day when you came back from Gaza to sleep next to me, you’d tell me how many houses you demolished today… End this war already. Conquer Gaza as quickly as possible. There’s no room there for pure evil in that stinking Strip, just for pure Jewish families.”

In another incident, Palestinian fighters detonated a large explosive device against an Israeli military vehicle, causing it to burn completely. One soldier went missing in the aftermath but was later found.

The Israeli army reportedly activated the Hannibal Protocol; a controversial directive aimed at preventing soldier abductions—even at the risk of casualties.

In addition, Israeli media sources said a soldier committed suicide in a military base, bringing the number of soldiers who killed themselves in the last ten days to three.

Later, the Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for targeting an Israeli armored personnel carrier carrying a soldier near the intersection of Street 5 and the western line north of Khan Younis, before Israeli helicopters evacuated casualties.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced that over 5,800 children in Gaza were diagnosed with malnutrition during the month of June alone, highlighting the escalating humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reported a sharp rise in malnutrition cases at its clinics across the Gaza Strip since March, coinciding with the onset of the Israeli-imposed blockade that has severely restricted access to food, medicine, and humanitarian aid.

As ceasefire negotiations continue in Doha, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff “expressed optimism about reaching an agreement soon,” noting that talks have made “significant progress, with only one major issue remaining.”

Meanwhile, Hamas confirmed that its delegation met with representatives from Islamic Jihad to discuss the latest developments, including Israel’s responses to mediator proposals and strategies to ensure an end to the aggression and the lifting of the blockade.

In a notable shift, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the Israeli government is preparing to present new military withdrawal maps during the Doha talks.

The move follows Hamas’s rejection of earlier maps that would have left large portions of Gaza under Israeli control.

The revised maps reportedly include the Morag corridor, a strategic route east of Rafah, and come amid U.S. and Qatari pressure on Israel to offer concessions that could pave the way for a 60-day truce.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed at least 58,386 Palestinians, including more than 17,131 children, 10,190 women, 4,147 elders, and 257 journalists. The number of wounded has reached 139,077, mostly children and women. Additionally, over 9,000 Palestinians remain missing, believed to be trapped under rubble across various areas of the devastated Gaza Strip.

In the occupied West Bank, Israel has killed 1,013 Palestinians, including 204 children, 22 women, 17 elderly, and 1 journalist, since October 7, 2023.

Among the slain Palestinians are 27 who were killed by illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers, 410 who were killed during Israeli invasions of Palestinian communities, and 290 who were extra-judicially executed. Israel still refuses to transfer the bodies of 245 slain Palestinians to their families for burial.
