On Tuesday morning, Israeli forces detonated the home of a slain Palestinian man in the town of Tell, southwest of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that a large army force, including engineering teams, stormed Tell town before dawn, and surrounded the three-story building.
The army evacuated dozens of Palestinian families from their homes, turning a number of homes into military barracks.
Engineering teams took measurements of the family home of the slain Farouk Ramadan, and proceeded to rig the top floor of the building with explosives, under the orders of Avi Blot, the commander of the Central Command in the Israeli army.
In the morning, the army detonated the top floor of the civilian home under the pretext that Ramadan carried out a “shooting operation” which killed two Israelis, despite the video and testimonial evidence showing that the attack was carried out by armed settlers.
On July 24, 2026, a group of illegal Israeli colonizers, with the cooperation of occupation soldiers, killed four members of the Ramadan family, including Farouk, who were attempting to protect themselves and their land against the invading settlers.
The Jerusalem Post reported that the army conducted its own investigation which showed that the incident exposed the Israeli forces’ operational and command failures, denying allegations that the so-called settler “hike” had been organized to provoke a confrontation.
