Israeli occupation forces injured two Palestinian youths, one critically, during a pre-dawn military invasion of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part. The assault is part of a sustained pattern of incursions targeting Palestinian urban centers.
Medical sources at Rafidia Governmental Hospital confirmed that a 20-year-old was shot in the head with live ammunition and remains in critical condition.
The sources added that a second youth, aged 22, sustained multiple contusions after being physically assaulted by Israeli soldiers.
The invasion focused on Faisal Street and nearby neighborhoods, where witnesses reported the use of armored vehicles, live fire, and concussion grenades.
Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) paramedics provided emergency care and reported delays in reaching the wounded and taking them to hospital due to military obstructions.
The PRCS condemned the excessive use of force and the targeting of civilians, and the deliberate military violations to obstruct ambulances and medics.
Human rights groups have repeatedly denounced such invasions as violations of international law. Nablus, a historic city in the northern West Bank, has faced intensified military operations in recent months, often resulting in casualties, abductions, and serious property damage.
Calls for international accountability continue to mount as local officials urge global actors to intervene and halt the use of lethal force against civilians.
