On Wednesday evening and night, the Israeli army continued its bombing and shelling of various parts of the devastated Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians across the besieged and starved coastal enclave.
Medical sources confirmed that the army fired missiles from a drone at Asda’ City, west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, killing at least four Palestinians, including a child, and wounding many others.
The victims, including 2.5-year-old Omar Qassem Abu Sharqiyah, were transported to the Kuwait Specialty Hospital.
Additionally, five Palestinians were killed when the army targeted a car on Shuhada Street in the Mosbeh area, north of Rafah, in southern Gaza. Several Palestinians, including children, sustained serious injuries when the army shelled an apartment in the Humam 5 Tower in the Al-Bureij refugee camp, located in central Gaza.
Furthermore, the army launched two missiles at the gate of the Tuffah Club, where dozens of families had sought shelter, east of Gaza City.
An UN worker was also killed, and five other Palestinians were injured when the army fired a missile at a UN building in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza.
Rami Abdu, Assist. Prof of Law & Finance, chairman of EuroMed Human Rights Monitor, stated that Israel bombed a United Nations facility in central Gaza, injuring several international staff members. Initial reports indicate the death of the UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services) director in Gaza.

In Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, Israeli missiles killed at least 24 Palestinians and injured dozens more, many seriously, when the army targeted a mourning house for the Mubarak family in the Salateen area. The family had already lost several members in earlier bombings before the mourning house was attacked.
The Israeli army resumed its offensive on Tuesday at dawn, following a two-month ceasefire, killing over 400 Palestinians—primarily women and children—and wounding more than 562.
On Wednesday alone, the army killed at least 60 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured hundreds, bringing the two-day death toll to over 460.
On Tuesday, the Israeli army resumed the genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip; Israeli missiles and shells claimed the lives of at least 429 Palestinians and injured more than 562, most of whom were children and women, in just one day.
In a press release, the Israeli army stated that its ground offensive aims to expand the “defensive zone” and establish a line separating the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.
The statement added that army forces had taken control of and expanded their hold over the central axis of Netzarim, located in the heart of Gaza.
It also noted that the Golani Brigade would be stationed in the southern area, prepared for further operations within the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that the Israeli army has killed at least 48,577 Palestinians and injured over 112,041—mostly women and children—since October 7, 2023. The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that the death toll has surpassed 61,700, including thousands still trapped under rubble.
In a press briefing, the head of Gaza’s Government Information Office revealed that 76% of the deceased have been recovered and transported to medical centers. He added that more than 14,222 Palestinians remain trapped under rubble in areas inaccessible to rescuers across the devastated Gaza Strip.
